Look for another nice weather day on Monday, with sunny skies and a high near 81, according to the National Weather Service.

As Hurricane Irma pummeled Florida this past weekend, the weather in Kansas City remained mild and calm. Increasing temperatures are expected by the late week, with a return of precipitation possible this weekend in some areas of the region, the weather service said.

Today, winds will be calm becoming east northeast around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear with a low of 58, according to the weather service, and an east northeast wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday, expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 81, the weather service said, and a north northeast wind of 3 to 8 mph.

Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 58 and a northeast wind of 6 mph becoming calm after midnight, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, there will be sunny skies and a high near 83 with a light north northeast wind, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 61, according to the weather service.

Thursday, skies will be sunny with a high near 85, the weather service said.

Thursday night, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 65, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 87, the weather service said.

Friday night, the low will be around 70 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
