Lane and ramp closures are scheduled beginning Wednesday, July 2, at I-635 and State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
The Kansas Department of Transportation has scheduled the closures during the day Wednesday.
Northbound and southbound I-635 over State Avenue bridges will be reduced to one open lane between 9 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, then northbound and southbound I-635 over State Avenue bridges will be reduced to two open lanes both directions from noon to 3 p.m. also on Wednesday.
The ramps from eastbound State Avenue to northbound I-635, and from westbound State Avenue to southbound I-635, will be closed for bridge inspection work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2. No marked detour will be provided. Drivers will need to use alternate routes.
Project work is scheduled to be completed July 2, weather permitting, according to KDOT.
