Make an eclipse viewer at a program at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Bonner Springs City Library, 201 N. Nettleton Ave., Bonner Springs, Kansas.
At this program, books will be read about eclipses. There will be a snack. Those participating are asked to sign up at the library, there is a space limit. For more information, see http://bonnerlibrary.org/make-an-eclipse-viewer/.
The Bonner Springs library also has scheduled a solar eclipse viewing event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, outdoors at the library.
Solar eclipse viewing glasses will be handed out to the first 250 persons who attend.
