Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree Sr. has charged Scott Kallal, 36, with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, according to a news release from the district attorney’s office.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred in the summer and fall of 2015, and the investigation is ongoing, the district attorney’s office stated.
Kallal is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty, according to the district attorney’s office.
Kallal is a priest who was suspended recently from his work at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Overland Park, Kan. He was stationed at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas, previously.
