Library plans scavenger hunt
The Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Environmental Library, 4051 West Drive, Kansas City, Kansas, at Wyandotte County Lake Park, 91st and Leavenworth Road, will hold a drop-in nature scavenger hunt between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8. Participants will stop by the library, get a copy of the scavenger hunt, then go to the park to look for items, then return to the library.

Build a rubber-band car
Children attending a craft program from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., may make a rubber-band-powered car using up-cycled household items. The program is for ages 5 to 12, and all materials are provided. Registration is required to 913-295-8250, Ext. 1013.

Hispanic-American history program scheduled at library
A program, “Heroes Hispanos,” is planned from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the South Library, Meeting Room B, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The presentation about Hispanic American history will start with the American Revolution in 1776. It is presented through the American GI Forum.

Free Legends Live concert scheduled tonight
The Legends Outlets will continue its free outdoor concert series, Legends Live, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening, July 8. The concert is at the Civic Courtyard Fountain at The Legends Outlets. The band on July 8 will be Rusty Laffoon, a soulful country band with high energy and strong vocals covering favorite country rock hits.

T-Bones to play tonight at CommunityAmerica Ballpark
The T-Bones (27-19) baseball team will continue their four game series with Sioux City (25-20) at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark at Village West, I-435 and I-70 in Kansas City, Kansas. There will be post-game fireworks. Tickets are available online, by calling 913-328-5618 or by visiting in person the Providence Medical Center Box Office at the stadium.
