An injury-accident was reported at 7 p.m. Monday, July 3, on eastbound I-70 near South 10th Street, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s crash log report.
A 2001 Cadillac car was eastbound on I-70 when it left the roadway and went to the right shoulder, striking the barrier wall, crossing all lanes of traffic and striking the inside barrier wall, the trooper’s report stated.
The Cadillac then went airborne, the roof struck the barrier wall and the vehicle came to rest on the inside shoulder, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 25-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, was injured and taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Mo., according to the report.
