Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a shooting homicide at 1:15 a.m. July 1 in the 4300 block of Lloyd.
Officers found a man in his late 40s, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, inside a residence, a police spokesman said.
Police said they determined it was domestic-related, after speaking with witnesses at the scene.
The suspect is believed to have fled on foot before police arrived, the police spokesman said. A K9 unit was dispatched but was unable to locate the suspect, according to the spokesman.
The identity of the victim will not be released until there is positive identification and family notification.
