The victim of an accident at about 12:50 a.m. June 24 at I-635 near Leavenworth Road has been identified, according to police.
The victim was Chali B. Adjuka, 53, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, police stated.
According to police, the initial investigation found that a black sport utility vehicle was traveling southbound, the wrong way on I-635 north, when it collided with another black SUV that was heading north on I-635.
The driver of the first vehicle was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and the driver of the second vehicle was found deceased at the scene as a result of injuries from the accident, police stated.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team is investigating.
