BPU officials discuss cyber security, Leavenworth Road project

At the Board of Public Utilities’ regular meeting on Wednesday, June 21, Bobby Gray spoke about the preparation of the audit and about cyber security that protects against cyber attacks that could possibly occur.

He spoke about a program that would prevent against someone hacking into the BPU computer system.

“We are trying to stay ahead of the game,” Gray said.

Leavenworth Road project

Bill Johnson, BPU manager of electric operations, spoke about the Leavenworth Road project. Major improvements will be done on Leavenworth Road from 38th to 63rd.

Certain electrical lines are scheduled to be buried by the BPU, while the road improvements are made by the Unified Government.
