An accident was reported on westbound I-70 about 3:05 on Sunday, June 11, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
A Kia Spectra that was westbound on I-70 struck an ASVE motorcycle that also was westbound, near 57th Street, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man from Independence, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
A passenger on the motorcycle, a 23-year-old woman from Lawrence, Kan., also was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Kia, a 23-year-old Overland Park, Kan., man, was not injured, according to the report.
