Scattered storms are developing across western Kansas today, and are expected to move eastward this evening, producing damaging winds in those areas if storms hold together, the weather service said. The storms may weaken as they move eastward. More storms may be in the forecast on Wednesday.
Today’s high will be near 83, with a south wind of 8 to 13 mph increasing to 16 to 21 in the afternoon, the weather service said. Winds may gust as high as 31 mph today.
Tonight’s low will be around 67, with a south wind of 15 to 17 mph, gusting as high as 29 mph, according to the weather service. There is a 40 percent chance of precipitation tonight after midnight.
Wednesday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said. The high will be near 79, with a south wind of 16 to 25 mph, gusting as high as 34 mph.
Wednesday night, the low will be around 62, with mostly clear skies, according to the weather service. A south southwest wind of 18 to 23 mph, gusting to 32 mph, and will decrease to 8 to 13 mph after midnight.
Thursday’s forecast will be partly sunny with a high of 82, the weather service said, and a south wind of 7 to 9 mph.
Thursday night, there is an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 63, according to the weather service. Between three-quarters and an inch of rain is possible.
Friday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 76.

Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., with a high near 67, the weather service said.
