Racing came to a halt temporarily in the Go Bowling 400 tonight at the Kansas Speedway in a serious three-car accident on turn 2.

Aric Almirola was taken to the hospital to be checked out after being cut out of his car, and he was said to be conscious and talking. Almirola was transferred to a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.

The accident started when Joey Logano (22) hit Danica Patrick’s (10) car, then Almirola (43) ran into Logano’s car. Patrick walked away from the wreck. Logano appeared to be OK after the wreck.
