Bowser found guilty in shooting of Deputy Wood

Charles Bowser, 20, today was found guilty on all counts, including attempted capital murder, in the shooting of a Wyandotte County deputy sheriff in March 2015, court officials confirmed.

Scott Wood, a Wyandotte County deputy sheriff, was shot multiple times during a robbery in March 2015 at a 7-Eleven store in the 4400 block of Shawnee Drive in Kansas City, Kansas.

Two others, Dyron King, 25, and Cecil Meggerson, 36, both of Kansas City, Kansas, were found guilty in February 2016 of attempted capital murder in the shooting. The two were sentenced in Wyandotte County District Court to life in prison with no opportunity for parole for 25 years (hard 25) after being convicted of attempted capital murder.
