Hundreds turn out for Polski Day parade and celebration

Donna Strick wore a traditional dress that is 30 years old at the Polski Day parade today in Kansas City, Kansas.

This is a dress that her mom made – only five were made, she said.

This Polski Day there were well over 350 people who attended the event, making it one of most successful in their history.

Polski Day continues with a celebration today at the All Saints Catholic Church grounds, 809 Vermont Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. through 4 p.m., with music, food and games planned. Then a 4 p.m. Polka Mass will be held at All Saints parish.
