Three vehicles were westbound on I-70 east of I-435 this morning, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
The accident at 6:30 a.m. April 28 started when a Toyota Corolla lost control and struck the wall, the trooper’s report stated. The Corolla crossed in front of a Honda Accord, making contact with the Accord’s front bumper, the trooper’s report stated.
The Corolla next struck the driver’s side of a GMC truck, forcing both the Corolla and GMC truck off the road on the right side, the trooper’s report stated.
A 60-year-old woman passenger in the Corolla was injured and was taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Corolla, a 54-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man, was not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the Honda Accord, a 32-year-old Leavenworth, Kansas, man, was not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the GMC truck, a 51-year-old man from Oak Grove, Missouri, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
