Suspect in homicide case on Troup Avenue found dead

The suspect identified in a homicide case in the 800 block of Troup Avenue was found dead on Sunday, April 23, in Kansas City, Mo., from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.

Tabitha Newbill, 24, was found dead on Saturday night from multiple gunshot wounds after a domestic disturbance at her residence near 8th and Troup, police said.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department is not actively seeking any other individual or suspect in this case, the spokesman said.

The homicide remains under investigation by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
