Kansas City, Kansas, police officers responded to a homicide this morning in the Fairfax area.
A police spokesman said officers responded to the call about a dead body at 10:17 a.m. April 7 in the 200 block of Donovan Avenue.
Upon arrival, the officers found a white male in his early 20s, dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the street, the spokesman said.
The identity of the victim will not be released until there is positive identification and family notification, the spokesman said.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information may call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
