An accident was reported about 7:55 a.m. April 6 on eastbound I-70, just east of College Parkway, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Ford Explorer were eastbound on I-70 when the Explorer slowed for traffic ahead and was struck by the motorcycle, the trooper’s report stated.
A 42-year-old Topeka, Kansas, man who was on the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with a possible injury, according to the report. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and safety glasses.
The driver of the Explorer, a 49-year-old woman from Iowa City, Iowa, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
