Quilting program offered
Learn to quilt at a program from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the West Wyandotte Library, conference room C, 1737 N. 82nd, Kansas City, Kansas. The program covers the basics of quilting, along with new skills. It is for age 11 and older. Registration is required in advance to 913-295-8250.

‘Reptile Encounters’ program planned
A “Reptile Encounters” program is planned from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Environmental Library at Wyandotte County Lake Park, 4051 West Drive, Kansas City, Kansas. Those attending will learn about the world of reptiles and meet some that live at the environmental library. The program is for all ages.

Annual spaghetti dinner this afternoon at Grinter
Grinter Barn, 1400 S. 78th,St. Kansas City, Kansas, is holding its annual spaghetti dinner from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Those who purchase tickets also will receive a free tour of the historic Grinter Place house. The Prairie Praise Band will furnish the entertainment.

Comedian appears Saturday night at Stanford and Son’s
Eleanor Kerrigan is appearing on Saturday, March 25, at Stanford and Son’s Comedy Club at The Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kan. Shows are at 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. The event is open to those 18 and older. Kerrigan has appeared with Andrew Dice Clay in “Dice Undisputed.” Kerrigan tells stories about her Philadelphia childhood as one of 10 children, and also about moving to Los Angeles as an adult. She has made appearances with “Harley’s Angels” on “Women of Wrestling,” and also has appeared on Nickelodeon, VH1, Howard Stern and HBO.
