Quilting program offered
Learn to quilt at a program from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the West Wyandotte Library, conference room C, 1737 N. 82nd, Kansas City, Kansas. The program covers the basics of quilting, along with new skills. It is for age 11 and older. Registration is required in advance to 913-295-8250.

Women’s chamber to meet March 25
The Kansas City, Kansas, Women’s Chamber of Commerce will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 25, in the community room of the Country Club Bank at Hutton Road and Parallel Parkway. The group will discuss ideas for the future of the women’s chamber. For more information, email [email protected].

Mammograms available at South Library

The South Branch Library, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, will be the host for Mobile Mammography and Manicures from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25. To schedule a mammogram, call 913-334-9989. Participants should bring their health insurance cards. If they don’t health insurance, participants must call 913-573-6763 to be approved. Free manicures and hand massages will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Comedian appears Saturday night at Stanford and Son’s
Brad Ellis with David Kious are appearing on Saturday, March 25, at Stanford and Son’s Comedy Club at The Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kan. Shows are at 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. The event is open to those 18 and older. Ellis, a Lawrence, Kansas, native, brings a unique perspective to comedy with his background as a U.S. Marine and a former law enforcement officer. He has appeared on “Trial by Laughter,” on college campuses and the 2011 New Year’s Eve Bash.
