Kansas City, Kan., police investigated a shooting in the 1200 block of Quindaro Boulevard about 6:20 p.m. June 15.
Officer said a victim had been struck by shrapnel. The person was taken to a hospital with very minor injuries, a police spokesman said.
During an initial investigation officers received information which led to a residence in the 1300 block of Georgia Avenue, the spokesman said.
After attempting many times to make contact with the person or persons inside the residence, officers discontinued the standoff, based on a lack of evidence to continue, according to the spokesman.
