Businesses near 35th and State Avenue were evacuated Sunday afternoon because of a gas line leak, according to Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department officials.
A vehicle struck a laundromat and three-inch gas line at that location, fire officials stated.
The area was declared safe for people to return to their businesses, after 4 p.m., according to officials.
