Two firefighter injuries reported in Grandview Boulevard fire

Two firefighters were injured in a house fire at 11:12 a.m. Sunday at 1904 Grandview Blvd., Kansas City, Kan.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for an evaluation, a spokesman said. No occupants were injured. All residents were out of the home, the spokesman said.

The first crews arriving at the fire reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the two-story wood-framed home.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation, the spokesman said.

The home had no smoke or fire detectors, according to the fire report.

The home was considered a total loss. The dollar loss caused by the fire was about $25,000, according to the spokesman.
