A house fire was reported around midday Saturday in the 2000 block of North Hallock in Kansas City, Kan., according to fire officials.
Firefighters arriving at the fire noted there was heavy smoke. Firefighters went into the building, searched it, and vented the roof, fire officials stated. Two searches found no occupants inside, and the fire was extinguished.
