A death in the 7900 block of State Avenue is under investigation, according to police.
Officers responded to an accident report at the address on Tuesday. When they arrived, they saw a conversion van wrecked partially into a building, police said.
After a tow truck arrived and began to remove the vehicle, a dead man was located under it, according to police.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending identification and family notification. The incident is under investigation by police and anyone with information may call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
