A new church, The Chapel KC, plans its first service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22.
Pastor Troy Bailey said the church’s first meeting will be in the auditorium at Turner High School, 2211 S. 55th St., Kansas City, Kan.
He said the church grew out of a vision that he and his wife had. It is a nondenominational Christian church, he added.
Bailey, from the Independence, Mo., area, attended a Bible college and traveled as an evangelist for five years. He formerly was an associate pastor and creative arts pastor at a church in Florida.
Bailey said the worship service will be high energy, relevant and will try to make the Bible come alive.
He said the church services are open to anyone who would like to come, open to the entire family, and are for all people.
There will be a separate kids’ worship experience as well as the adult worship service on Sunday.
The church has a website at www.thechapelkc.com, and also has a Facebook page.
