Light snow possible tomorrow

Light snow is possible beginning early Wednesday afternoon through the late evening, mainly south of a line from Maryville, Mo., to Kirksville, Mo., according to the National Weather Service.

Amounts there will be half an inch or less, the weather service said.

The chance of snow is about 40 percent in Wyandotte County on Wednesday, according to the weather service.

Frigid temperatures will settle across the region Wednesday night, with Thursday morning wind chill values below zero.

Today, expect a high near 39, with sunny skies and a northwest wind of 6 to 14 mph, gusting to 20 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight’s low will be around 24, with a west northwest wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, there will be a 40 percent chance of snow in the afternoon, the weather service said. The high will be near 30, with a light north wind becoming north northwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Wednesday night, the low will be around 14, with wind chill values between zero and 10, according to the weather service. A northwest wind of 9 to 14 mph will gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday, it will be sunny with a high of 25, according to the weather service. A northwest wind will be 10 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 22 mph.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 27, the weather service said. Friday night, the low will be around 21, according to the weather service.

Saturday, expect partly sunny skies with a high near 40, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of rain, mixing with snow after 8 p.m., then gradually ending, according to the weather service. The low will be around 31.

Sunday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 41, the weather service said.
