Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating a homicide near the 500 block of Central Avenue.
A police spokesman said officers responded to a shooting about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 600 block of Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
Officers found a man in his 20s who had been shot and was lying outside on the sidewalk, the spokesman said.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died from the injuries he sustained, the spokesman said.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until positive identification and family notification.
