A 23-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man died today in a crash on I-35 southbound,, two-tenths of a mile south of I-635, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The victim was identified as Tryston V. Patterson, 23, of Kansas City, Kan., according to the trooper’s report. The crash occurred in Johnson County.
He was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion that was southbound on I-35 about 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, when the vehicle drifted off the roadway, and struck a bridge embankment for a ramp, the trooper’s report stated.
The Ford overturned in the south ditch, the trooper’s report stated.
I-35 was shut down for a period of time, but has now reopened, according to KDOT officials.
