As temperatures reach a high near 77 today, there is a big cooldown in the forecast for Friday, the National Weather service said.
Today, windy conditions are expected and a wind advisory remains in effect for the area, according to the weather service.
Very high fire danger is expected in the windiest areas this afternoon, the weather service said.
Although humidity will remain above 35 percent, dry fuels, warm temperatures and strong wins will promote rapid fire spread, according to the weather service.
A few non-severe storms are possible across the region early Friday morning, the weather service said.
Today, there will be mostly sunny skies with a high near 77, and a south wind of 18 to 28 mph, gusting as high as 41 mph, according to the weather service.
Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 48, the weather service said. A south wind will be 15 to 18 mph, becoming west southwest after midnight. Winds could gust to as high as 33 mph.
Friday, it will be partly sunny with a temperature rising to almost 50 by 9 a.m., then falling to around 42 during the remainder of the day, according to the weather service. A west northwest wind will be 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low of 29, the weather service said. A northwest wind will be 10 to 17 mph, gusting as high as 33 mph.
Saturday’s forecast is sunny with a high near 47, and a northwest wind of 6 to 10 mph, according to the weather service.
Saturday night, expect a low of 27 with clear skies, the weather service said.
Sunday, expect sunny skies and a high of 52, according to the weather service.
Sunday night, the low will be around 32 with mostly clear skies, the weather service said.
Monday, it will be sunny with a high near 58, according to the weather service.
Monday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers after midnight, the weather service said. The low will be around 43.
