Pokemon Go Party planned at library
The Main Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., is planning a Pokemon Go Party from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. The library will set off lure modules every 30 minutes beginning at noon. There will be cards to play Pokemon bingo. There is also a “Who’s That Pokemon” contest. The activity is designed for families.

African-American Book Club to meet
The library’s African-American Book Club will meet from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Main Kansas City, Kan., Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave. The group is discussing “The Pastor’s Husband” by Tiffany L. Warren. The club is meeting is the first floor program room.

American GI Forum program planned

An American GI Forum program is planned from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at the South Library, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The purpose of the program is to promote acceptance and inclusion for the Hispanic community. The program will be in Meeting Room B.
