A fundraiser is planned on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Chili’s restaurant for the family of Capt. Robert David Melton, who was slain in the line of duty on July 19 in Kansas City, Kan.
From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Chili’s will donate 10 percent of event sales back to Capt. Melton’s family.
The fundraiser is at Chili’s at The Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kan., as well as at several other Chili’s locations in Greater Kansas City.
