Investigators now believe a woman who died in the 8000 block of Longwood Avenue on July 1 died from an apparent overdose.
According to a Kansas City, Kan., police spokesman, a 26-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital July 1 where she was confirmed dead.
Police identified the victim as Tasha Southwick, 26, a resident of Kansas City, Kan.
The case remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
