Two injured in three-vehicle collision on I-70

A three-vehicle crash was reported at 10:32 p.m. Thursday, June 2, on I-70 westbound near the Fairfax exit in Kansas City, Kan., according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.

A Hyundai Sonata was stalled on I-70, according to the report. A GMC Sierra struck the rear of a GMC Envoy, pushing it into the back of the Sonata, the report stated.

The driver of the Sonata left the scene of the accident on foot, according to the trooper’s report.

A passenger in the Sonata, a 40-year-old woman from Kansas City, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Kan., according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Sierra, a 35-year-old woman from Grain Valley, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

The driver of the Envoy, a 22-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was not injured, the report stated.
