Two KCK motorcycle riders injured on K-32

Two Kansas City, Kan., residents were injured in a motorcycle-car accident at 11:50 a.m. Sunday, May 29, on K-32 in Leavenworth County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was westbound on K-32 when a Lincoln Continental tried to pass it while the motorcycle was turning left into a private driveway.

The Lincoln struck the motorcycle, and both motorcycle riders were ejected, the report stated.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated. A passenger on the motorcycle, a 35-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman, also was injured, according to the report.

The motorcycle riders were not wearing helmets, the report stated.

The driver of the Lincoln Continental, a 56-year-old man from Topeka, Kan., was not injured, the report stated.
