Memorial Day ceremony in KCK
A memorial ceremony was held on Monday at Kansas City, Kan., City Park, 26th and Park Drive, to honor fallen veterans. The American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation held the ceremony and placed about 8,000 flags on the hills of City Park, where they are visible from I-70. Donations from Home Depot helped with the flags. The foundation is planning to build a monument at City Park to honor veterans who died in the Gulf War and the war on terror.
