The U.S. Men’s Team will make its fifth all-time appearance at Children’s Mercy Park, Kansas City, Kan., facing Bolivia at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 28, on FS1, UniMas and Univision Deportes. Learn how to identify plant diseases at June 2 program
The Wyandotte County Extension Master Gardeners are will hold a program with guest speaker Judy O’Mara, diagnostician and instructor at Kansas State University, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2. O’Mara, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Biology and Master of Science in Plant Pathology, will present “Plant Disease Identification,” with emphasis on the diseases that were most prevalent in Kansas in 2015, and the diseases that are most common here in Kansas City. Live at the Legends summer concert to be June 4
Legends Outlets will again offer free outdoor entertainment through its Live at the Legends Summer Concert Series on Saturday evenings in June and July beginning Saturday, June 4. Scholarship golf tournament planned June 8
The Kansas City, Kan., Foundation for Excellence will hold the 26th annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on June 8 at Sunflower Hills Golf Course, 122nd and Riverview, Bonner Springs, Kan. There will be a shotgun start for the morning flight at 7:30 a.m., after registration and breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Lunch and awards will be at 1 p.m. at the George Meyn Center. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarships for at least 15 Kansas City, Kan., Public Schools seniors. Fairfax project updates will be the topic of the June 9 luncheon of the Fairfax Industrial Association.
