Wyandotte County under tornado watch until 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 10 p.m. for Wyandotte County.

A severe storm threat continues into this afternoon, the weather service said. Primary threats will be large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall.

A tornado threat cannot be entirely ruled out, the weather service said.

Flooding will become an increasing concern as the night continues, according to the weather service. A flash flood watch is in effect until 1 p.m. Friday.

Other counties under a tornado watch currently include Atchison, Doniphan, Johnson, Leavenworth, Linn and Miami.

At 2 p.m. today, according to the weather service, it was 74 degrees in Wyandotte County with a thunderstorm in the vicinity. The humidity was 82 percent, wind speed from the east at 12 mph, and barometer at 29.83 inches.
