Showers continue in today’s forecast

Scattered showers will continue primarily this morning into the early afternoon hours, according to the National Weather Service.

While a rumble of thunder is possible, no strong storms are expected, the weather service said.

Areas of rain with embedded weak thunderstorms will overspread the area Thursday evening into Friday, according to the weather service. No severe weather is expected.

Active weather in the form of thunderstorms will return early next week, the weather service said.

Today, expect a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before noon. The high will be near 61, according to the weather service, with a northeast wind around 10 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.

Tonight, the low will be around 47, with an east northeast wind of 5 to 8 mph, the weather service said.

Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 47, according to the weather service, and an east northeast wind of 5 to 8 mph.

Wednesday night, the low will be around 48, with an east northeast wind of 5 to 7 mph, the weather service said.

Thursday, skies will be partly sunny with a high near 68, according to the weather service. An east southeast wind will be 5 to 9 mph.

Thursday night, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers with a low of 54, according to the weather service. New precipitation amounts will be between a tenth and quarter of an inch.

Friday, expect a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said. The high will be near 68. Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 54.

Saturday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 74, according to the weather service.
