Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan., will resume its regular Sunday morning schedule in April, including Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. on the first Sunday of the month; and for the remaining Sundays, 8:30 a.m., first morning service, 9:45 a.m., Sunday school, and 11 a.m., second Sunday service.

The Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan., will hold a Scripture Group and Bible study from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays. Bible sharing and reflection, lectio and journaling will be led by Heather Neds, pastoral minister.

Risen Lamb International Church of the Nazarene,
located in the Turner area of Kansas City, Kan., has announced the opening of the Risen Lamb Prayer Room and Retreat Center. On location at their church at 5301 Metropolitan Avenue, the prayer room and retreat center is open to the public for daytime retreats. All individuals or small groups seeking a quiet, sacred space to gather, pray, meditate, journal or read resources about prayer are welcome. The prayer room provides a peaceful space for solitude or can be scheduled in advance for groups of up to eight people. Guests seeking spiritual guidance may schedule a time of spiritual direction with one of the pastoral staff, and groups may inquire about scheduling a member of the pastoral team to lead or speak at a retreat. Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., is planning a fundraiser for the Haiti mission team at 6 p.m. April 30. The program will be learning how to paint a scene from Haiti, taught by Diana Whittington. The cost is $35 per person in advance or $40 at the door. Reservations are necessary.

A spring dance sponsored by the German-American Edelweiss Society is planned from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at St. Anthony’s Church basement, 615 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kan. The event includes a dinner, plus dancing to polka music by the Willie Kirst Band. Tickets are $20 for adults.

The women of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kan., will sponsor an afternoon tea from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the parish hall; Jenny Stinger is in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Don Compier, the dean of the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry, will be the guest preacher at the service in English at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1; the service in Spanish will be at 7 p.m.

Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland, Kansas City, Kan., plans a Mother-Daughter celebration at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the church. There will be a salad supper, with meat, bread and dessert provided. Each family is asked to bring a vegetable, fruit or pasta salad. Wyandotte United Methodist is holding a Community Blood Center blood drive from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Wyandotte United Methodist fellowship hall.
