KCK resident injured in motorcycle collision on I-635

A Kansas City, Kan., resident was injured in a collision at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, on I-635 just south of Metropolitan Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle was southbound on I=635 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a Pontiac G6.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the trooper’s report.

A passenger on the motorcycle, a 35-year-old Emporia, Kan., woman, also was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated. She was wearing a helmet, the report said.

The driver of the Pontiac, a 55-year-old Independence, Mo., man, was not injured, according to the report.
