For the second consecutive week, Kansas City Kansas Community College has the Jayhawk Conference softball Player of the Week.
Tiffany Killam, a sophomore designated hitter from Waupun, Wis., was named Player of the Week after Bonner Springs sophomore Geena Harris earned the honor for the previous week.
In eight games last week, Killam had six home runs, 21 runs-batted-in and hit at a torrid .648 clip to lead the Blue Devils to six wins.
In a 10-0, 12-2 sweep of Missouri Valley, Killam drove in the first five runs of the game with a 2-run home run in the first inning and a 3-run round tripper in the second inning and then got the Blue Devils started in the second game with a 3-run first inning home run.
Killam picked up where she left off Tuesday when the Blue Devils split with Fort Scott, winning 11-10 before dropping an 11-5 decision. Killam had a perfect day at bat in the opener with a single, two doubles and a home run. The home run, a 2-run shot in the bottom of the fifth, proved to be the winning runs.
Killam then extended her hitting streak to 11 straight games with a pair of singles in the 11-5 nightcap.
