A special meeting of the Kansas City, Kan., Board of Education will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, in the board room on the third floor of the Kansas City, Kan., Public Schools Central Office and Training Center, 2010 N. 59th St., Kansas City, Kan.
The board plans to take action on a human resources report and recommendations. It will recess into a closed session to hear an employee appeal under the non-elected personnel exception to the open meetings law.
After the hearing, the board will meet in a retreat to discuss the compilation of responses to the board self-evaluation questionnaire, which takes a look at board effectiveness.
