The heaviest rain is expect along and east of I-35, according to the weather service. Areas south of I-70 could see more than an inch of rain, the weather service said.
Thunderstorm chances will continue off-and-on through the week. At this time severe weather is not anticipated, but areas between I-70 and I-44 could see localized flooding, according to the weather service.
Today’s high will be near 67, the weather service said. A south wind will be 7 to 13 mph. There is a 70 percent chance of rain, with a tenth to quarter of an inch of rain possible.
Tonight, the low will be around 53, with showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, the weather service said. The chance of rain is 70 percent with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half-inch.
On Wednesday the chance of rain is 60 percent, according to the weather service. Showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm. The high will reach about 61. New rainfall amounts will be between a tenth and quarter of an inch.
Wednesday night, there is a 50 percent chance of precipitation. The low will be around 46. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible.
Thursday, the high will be near 62. There will be a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, the weather service said. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.
Thursday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 44, according to the weather service.
Friday, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers, with a high near 60, the weather service said.
Friday night, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers, with a low of 46, according to the weather service.
Saturday, the high will be near 61 and there will be a 30 percent chance of showers. Saturday night, the low will be around 49.
