A power outage affecting more than 7,000 Board of Public Utilities customers was reported tonight.
The outage, as of 8:20 p.m., was shown by the BPU’s power outage map to be in the central part of Kansas City, Kan., mostly between I-635 and I-435.
High winds were reported in Wyandotte County today.
By 8:29 p.m., the customers without power were down to about 660, according to the outage map.
