What to do with a Christmas tree after the holidays?
Consider using one of four recycling sites in Wyandotte County.
The four recycling sites in Wyandotte County are available from Dec. 26 through Jan. 31, according to the Unified Government newsletter.
The sites include:
• Stony Point Park, 527 N. 86th, Kansas City, Kan., in the northeast corner of the parking lot.
• Alvey Park, 4834 Metropolitan, Kansas City, Kan., on the north side of the south parking lot.
• City Park, 2601 Park Drive, Kansas City, Kan., in the park around the corner on the grass.
• Wyandotte County Park at Bonner Springs, 631 N 126th, Bonner Springs, in the ball field parking area.
Residents are asked to remove tinsel, lights and ornaments before recycling the tree.
The drop-off locations will be marked with a sign, and residents are asked to use only the designated areas. The tree recycling is for Wyandotte County residents only.
