Online town hall meetings start today on the topic of ramp metering on I-35.
According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, KC Scout is moving forward with the I-35 ramp metering project between the Kansas-Missouri state line and I-435. KC Scout is operated by the Kansas and Missouri departments of transportation.
KC Scout and KDOT are holding the online ramp metering meetings until Dec. 31 to gather public comment on the locations of I-35 on-ramps.
There are also meetings in person at different locations to discuss the ramp metering project.
The public may review exhibits and recommend locations for ramp meters along I-35 in Wyandotte and Johnson counties. Representatives from KC Scout, KDOT, and the consultant team will be present at in-person meetings to answer questions and discuss issues or concerns. No formal presentations will be given.
