Kansas City, Kan., police are conducting a death investigation in the 5200 block of North 99th Street.
A police spokesman said officers were called to 99th and Hutton Road on an armed disturbance at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25.
While conducting the investigation, it was alleged that a 7-year-old boy had been missing for an extended time and was possibly dead at a nearby location.
Police obtained a search warrant and discovered human remains on Thursday, Nov. 26, the spokesman said. The remains have not been identified and both incidents are still under investigation, according to the spokesman.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
