Assisted living residents gather for ‘Friendsgiving’ feast

You may be hearing more and more about Friendsgiving celebrations, and now even seniors at an assisted living community are getting in on the new trend.

On Nov. 19, more than 50 people gathered at The Piper Assisted Living, 2300 N. 113th Place, Kansas City, Kan., for a Friendsgiving feast.

The meal allowed residents to invite their friends to a full traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey, pie and all of the fixings.
