Snow could miss Wyandotte County

While there is a chance for light snow Friday night or early Saturday morning to the north of the Kansas City area, it is not really expected in Wyandotte County.

Today it will be sunny with a high near 49, the National Weather Service said. A west wind will be 8 to 11 mph.

Tonight, expect a low of 35, with a west southwest wind of 5 to 7 mph, becoming south southeast after midnight, according to the weather service.

On Friday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon, with a high near 51, the weather service said. A south southeast wind will be 6 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Friday night, there is a 40 percent chance of rain before midnight, according to the weather service. The low will be around 30 degrees. It will be blustery, with a south wind of 10 to 15 mph, becoming north northwest 17 to 22 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph.

Saturday, look for mostly sunny skies with a high near 36, the weather service said. It will be breezy, with a north northwest wind of 14 to 21 mph, gusting as high as 34 mph.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 23, according to the weather service.

Sunday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 42, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be clear, with a low of 28, according to the weather service.

Monday’s forecast is sunny and a high of 51, the weather service said.
